it was okay

It was okay. A bit corny and boring. I am not a big insta love fan so this book did not capture and maintain my interest. It was a quick and easy read. I always enjoy the HEA ending.

In true Shayla Black style, this might be a short novella but it had everything a big book would have to offer: Fabulous characters - Tanner and Amanda were instant favorites, intrigue and deception - murder, mayhem and a dysfunctional family, and last but not least there was plenty of steamy love and affection. Just like with other books in the series, Shayla Black locks the reader in at the very beginning and then takes them on a highly enjoyable and entertaining journey. Who is ready to take a trip to Hawaii?

Another winner from Author Shayla Black! I love the More Than Words series, it is one of my favourites by this author. This was a quick read, but it lacked for nothing. Tanner and Amanda's story was full of romance, passion, steam and a little bit of suspense.

Amanda hires Tanner to protect her and her son after being threatened by an unknown source.
When these two meet, you just know they are meant to be, it's an instant attraction, but Tanner is taken back by his sudden feelings for this woman. Will he be able to keep it professional with Amanda? Will he be able to protect her and her son?

I adored these two so much! They were so perfect together! I love how Ms. Black still manages to slip in just the right amount of suspense and passion, even with this novella!

Highly recommend giving this book a read. It is standalone, however, you do see old faces from previous books, which made it even better!

5 Stars!

This is book 6.5 of the series it can be read as a standalone but the characters from the books before make appearances. However you won’t be lost if you’ve not read those because it’s a story about Tanner and Amanda not the other couples. It is a novella so it’s not a long story but it is complete. However since it’s a novella you get instalove between Tanner and Amanda.

Tanner has just came to Maui to figure out what to do he’s going through a divorce and looking to start over. He’s been enjoying a few days on the island, scouting out areas for a gun range he’d like to open and run. Amanda has just arrived in Maui to stay with her half sister to escape being hounded and stalked by the press over things beyond her control. She just wants time away and her son Oliver to be safe. However that doesn’t happen there is a break in and Amanda is threatened and Tanner is asked to provide bodyguard duty to keep her son and herself safe.

Overall it’s well written, it’s a complete story with a HEA. I enjoyed this book, I’ve really loved this series. Tanner and Amanda were amazing characters. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series it’s been one of my favorites.

I like Tanner, I like Amanda, I like them together. That's all I needed to enjoy this book. Plus Oliver's so cute.

More Than Protect You is an enjoyable novella in the More Than Words series, one that works fine as a standalone but answers those with lingering questions from the prior book. After loving More Than Dare You, I was eager to see what this one offered.

Although I enjoyed More Than Protect You, this was a bit too close to instalove for my liking. I much prefer slow development, and things happened extremely quickly in this one. In truth, this rating is more of a three-point-five-star read. There were some four-star moments, but personal preference had me wanting a bit more. For those that are fine with quick love stories, this had enough to keep the readers hooked.

All in all, an enjoyable quick read from Shayla Black and worth reading for fans of the series.

Sometimes exactly what you need is a quick, steamy romance that you know is going to have not only the hot chemistry but a connection between the characters.

Well, the 1001 Dark Nights series always delivers. And, when it's also a Shayla Black title? Well, you know it's going to be exactly what you want.

So, I knew going in that Tanner and Mandy's story was going to be a lot of fun. And it was. It was steamy, it had characters I enjoyed and a connection I believed.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.
