The banter and pull between Ballyntine and Lucy is just a delight! While Lucy is maybe my least favorite of the gang, I enjoyed all the facets of their romance. They truly bring out the best in each other without having to compromise who they are. A delightful read.

Poor cultural appropriation of Indian culture and frankly gross superficial representation of Hinduism as well. If you can’t write other cultures properly ( which is difficult for anyone of a different background, as applies to most HR authors), don’t bother including it at all. We don’t come to fantasy historical romance land to recap/remember British colonialism and degradation of India for over a century. Stick to what you know for your other novels.

Overall, I really enjoyed it. Though not as much as the first book. I think the printing, company and business talk kind of just went over my head and i would find myself glazing over that stuff. But I enjoyed the romance. Looking forward to the next book with Hattie!

I LOVE this series! An amazing sequel to "Bringing Down the Duke." I literally could not put it down! It is an enthralling historical romance that revolves around the women's suffragist movement. The author has a way of making you feel so connected to the characters and I found myself rooting for Lucie and Tristan. I have decided that anything Evie Dunmore writes I will read!! All the stars!🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
