Enjoyable read, even though I haven't read the second book. I think "Goose Girl" was a lot better but still had a sweet main character that I liked reading.

Listened to this when I heard someone say they like the full-cast audio. I actually found it harder to listen to then a single narrator - but that is just me. Good teen read.
Follows the fun character, Razo, as he gains confidence in himself through many tests to help save Bayern. Teens will continue to enjoy this series.
Like Enna Burning, I felt this follow up to Goose Girl just wasn't as engaging. I did like the setting in their rival city in Tira.
This one was a lot more in the style of The Goose Girl. It was back to being about the story, not one aspect of the character. I also liked that the central character was male this time. It's fun to get a different perspective so you don't feel like an author is just pulling out the same thing over and over again.
