Bears travel on wheels. Sometimes it's one bear on one wheel and other times is more bears on more wheels. This is a fun book that adds and subtracts in very simple language. It's a good, silly counting book that features bears riding on different types of bicycles.

2019 storytime theme: wheels

"They fell!" My niece was worried about the bears falling off the bikes. :-)

This was a fun counting book! It was silly, and my daughter was able to join in the counting, even though it got a bit confusing at times! This book was fun, and enjoyable. Older kids that like to count will like this book!

Bought this one to read with Eli, again like the last Berenstain Bears book I bought, it's a very short story with simple repetitive words. While it helped with counting it didn't keep his attention as well as the book we began with because there was so little two it.

The illustrations are again pretty simple with bright colors, but the pages only have a handful of words on each and the story is over very quickly. While the repetitive, easy to memorize nature should make it easier to pick up and learn words while practicing counting, I still think this would work best for a younger child, ages 2 or 3 because it was over so quickly that Eli seemed bored with it.
It's a good opening book but doesn't seem to have enough to it to really enthuse a four-year-old.

Read to me by a first grade beginning reader, who laughed hysterically all the way through and immediately had to read it again!

This book is only for very young children (3 or under). After that is becomes a bit redundant. I tired using this as a math book for some preschoolers and they were quickly bored. Too easy and repetitive for them. I love Berenstain Bears books and the art is still fun but the story is bland overall. Great for the kids just learn numbers though.

A tripped-out Berenstain Bears counting book for very young children. It is very simple and perfectly written with the 3-5 year old in mind.

This is before Stan and Jan started the 80s bears, so the beloved bear characters really aren't in this one.

The 4 year old liked this book.

As a counting book for beginning readers, it probably works just fine. For the toddler set, it is too exciting for a bedtime book, and doesn't really help in learning numbers.
