When Kenna travels from London to Sydney to work out why her best friend Mikki is rushing into marrying a guy she just recently met, she never expected to be drawn back into the world of surfing - the world she left behind after a tragic accident.

Kenna is determined to get Mikki to move back to England with her, so she tags along when Mikki and her fiancé, Jack, head off for the mysterious surfing destination, Sorrow Bay. There she meets a group of surfers, all with their own secrets, that are determined that no one finds out about their remote, perfect, waves.

The longer Kenna spends with the group, the more she gets drawn into their Tribe, the more she is convinced that something is just not right and that it is more important than ever for her and Mikki to escape.

Just who can Kenna trust?

Is Mikki still the best friend she grew up with?

Kenna is the sort of best friend we all need - willing to risk everything to rescue her best friend, even if the best friend doesn’t think she needs saving.

Menacing, chilling, creepy and utterly enthralling - The Bay is the summer thriller we all need as we head into Winter (here in Australia at least)

I loved how the author managed to create the claustrophobic feel of a classic closed room mystery even though the story is set in a wild and remote landscape. The isolated camp site, the heat, the lonely beach, the soaring cliffs and the monster waves all give an atmosphere that builds a sense of danger that keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next.

You will find yourself constantly changing your mind about who did “it” - and I’m not going to spoil it by telling you what “it” is 🤐

I’d recommend you get your hands on this book as soon as you can, turn off your phone, find a comfy place to read and lose yourself in this fun new thriller.
