It was okay. I think I liked book 1 more and I think book 3 will be really good based on the ending of this book. I don’t think book 1 and 2 should have been separate books but could have been combined into one book with multiple parts

I feel like this was way too short? Barely anything happened and then the book was over!!!

There were a lot of typos but I’m shocked by how low the reviews for this are. The content is leagues better than a lot of other books out right now though I do wish more happened and the no communication trope will get old quickly if it doesn’t get resolved early in the next book. Still looking forward to the next installment.

I have been waiting to read the next book in the series ever since the first book's cliffhanger left off like it did, and boy did it not disappoint. Senara which I still have a tough time pronouncing her name the fmc lol and her dastardly man who is not her man just when he's around her lol gah Thorn is just everything and Ronan his side kick isn't to bad either are back and thing's aren't what they seem as this pick's up where the cliffy left off at leading to more questions than answers of just wth happened and how is that possible. I'm not giving anything away you need to read the1st book to understand the opening of the 2nd book. I believe that the people she is around not Wyn her sister from another mister, but the higher ups are going to feed her lies and use her and hopefully she has the streets smarts to know it, but that ending in this book was definitely a shocker, but I can't say I'm surprised this chick can't catch a fair deal, and Thorn should’ve known better.

Book 1 was okay. It was interesting enough plot-wise to try book 2. I almost wonder if a draft was uploaded rather than a final copy (I read a digital copy on Kindle Unlimited). There seemed to be plot holes, the pacing was off, the characters feel different from book 1 (but not due to growth), and there were so many simple mistakes that could have been fixed with editing. For example, in book 1 the MMC introduces himself as Branok Thorn but says everyone calls him Thorn. Later in book 1 he mentions wishing the FMC would call him by his first name and not Thorn. In Book 2 he introduces himself as Thorn Brannok, first and last names switched and spelled differently.

YIKES.

The good: I like this world and the idea of moon and sun fae in opposition. The plot and anticipation of finding out more kept me turning pages.
However....I feel like nothing really happened in this book. Like it was only 25% of a book. I wanted so much more after such a long wait.
Also (and I think I mentioned this in my review of book one) our FMC was supposedly such a good warrior she got promoted to the King's guard but she literally could not protect herself from anything. I want to see her being powerful.

I'll read book 3 but I really hope we finally get answers.
