Moon Enchanted is the first book in Devyn Sinclair's Shifters Curse series. This paranormal romance reverse harem novel has a promising start, but then things get rough for the storyline. After a while things get better, but it takes a bit and some developing of tolerance for the characters, primarily Cora.
The book starts off engaging enough with a thrilling prologue and then transitioning to Cora living her life in New York City. She seems blissfully unaware of the Otherworld until she delivers a painting to a woman who runs a shop for witches. She has no idea, and when the woman does something to the "birthmark" on her arm, her whole life gets thrown into chaos.
The storyline is good overall, but there are moments where it lags and leaves me ready for things to get interesting again. I could have used more world-building in both the past and the present, but especially the present. I have to disappoint that some of the small details are a bit disappointing as well. Naming the cat 23? I...come on. That just screams lazy. I've had well over 23 cats so far in my life and never named them a number. Please, do better.
Cora really annoyed me. If someone saves you, they are probably not looking to kill you. The fact that she constantly goes back and forth with the "I'm your prisoner because I can't go home" line gets old fast. I have to say though that in the beginning when the guys don't treat her like something fragile when she's being an idiot...I applaud them. If they had coddled her while she's fighting them to simply be allowed to go die I'd have probably had to put this book down. As it is, there are good moments and moments that were annoying.
All in all, the storyline is decent and I'm curious to see what happens next with these characters. I'm rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. I'm hoping that the theatrics with Cora are mostly done after this book and that things can really get in gear.

Great story with serious heat

This was a nice change in that it didn’t feel like I was reading the same story lines. This was a fresh new take on a great reverse harem. Warning book has a cliffhanger, be r
Easy to jump right in to the next book!

Moon Enchanted follows Cora, a small artist living in NYC, whose life gets turned upside down after delivering one of her paintings to a local occult shop.

Later that day after a run in with a pack of giant wolves that only she can see, Cora is rescued by another wolf only to find herself his prisoner. She soon learns that she is the last in a powerful line of witches, fated to be with the three cursed wolf kings who have been holding her captive in their castle, and that their bond can break the curse controlling them. Not only that, Cora is being hunted by several magical beings who wish to use and/or kill her the moment she steps outside of the castle grounds.

Overall, I really enjoyed Moon Enchanted. I loved the magic/lore and thought it was an interesting spin on shifters/witches/fated mates. I also thought the world building was fantastic and that the pacing was great—there’s so much packed into the storyline but it’s not at all overwhelming.

I’m not a fan of the ending and that’s only because the book ends in a cliffhanger and I’m DYING. I need to know what happens to Cora and her mates after that crazy ending
