A surprise hit, given how wordy it is. But the rhyming couplets have a great rhythm, and this book (and Ramadan/Eid) do, after all, feature some of our favorite obsessions: food and hats (the man in the yellow hat is gifted a yellow fez). What is up with the man in the yellow hat? What is his deal!?! I find him a looming, unsettling presence. George, though, is great, and of course an open-minded, open-hearted, curious little monkey - WHICH WE SHOULD ALL BE.

My favorite Ramadan memory will remain the Hyderabadi haleem I had many years ago. Such an incredible meal. And I wasn't even fasting! But one of those meals I'll remember forever.

I saw this and had to read it cause Curious George was a favourite of mine when I was a kid. I love my little monkey so much. This was such a cute children’s book. George taking all the shoes at the mosque made me cry inside. So precious.

It’s Ramadan, Curious George

I Picked Up This Book Because: I want to learn about Ramadan and I find children’s books a good place to start for basic information.

 The Story:

I did not glean any new information about Ramadan however I did realize that this book is poetry. I don’t know how I’ve never realized that about Curious George books.
