Well, I've never read either Wonder Woman serials or Jodi Picoult, so i figured what the heck. Now its more like wtf? Interesting story, but even I could tellit was by someone who doesn't normally write in thegenre. Not a waste of time, but not something I'll go back and read again either...

Oh Wonder Woman. I love the character but it's so difficult to find any comics featuring her let alone any that are good. I like this run but the art snob in me gets really huffy about the constantly changing artists and how some are much better than others. Wonder Woman deserves better but I've seen much worse.

11-11-12: Having never read any Wonder Woman comics, this wasn't too bad. I always forget just how beautiful WW is - and the artists did a bang-up job rendering her. Can't say I am interested enough to continue the series but that's not a diss, either.

10/16/17 - I remembered nothing and didn’t realize I was re-reading. Ooops.

Wonder Woman is distractingly beautiful. The plot is somewhat stupid. The dialog is funny though. Nemesis and Batman are HILARIOUS in this installment.

Still haven’t read the next part.

Well, I like the art. I feel like this is mostly Wonder Woman. I also feel like she knows who she is and doesn't need need to ask. Wonder Woman ends up fighting her dead mother after she comes to rescue her from government bondage. This is a good book, not a great one. Our library doesn't have the one previous or after so this will be all I read. I would at least read the others if they were available.

I liked the character of Tom. He was interesting and a good fit for Diana.

This is the first book I've read by Jodi Picoult!

While this book is a TPB (trade paperback, or collection of separate comics) in the middle of monthly series, it is pretty accessible as a story in itself - though there is a backstory from previous issues, and it's obvious the story will continue.

While it was a good story, it did seem that Picoult was a little out of her element. And there is a lot going on. But it was good to read a story about an established superhero with a fresh take. Worth checking out.

This is the point where I realize that the series really did need a reboot. I'm kind of anticipating getting up to date on this to see where they head, but this is some severe water treading right here.

I think this and the previous trade kind of get to the bottom of why Wonder Woman is perceived as a "difficult" character to write for. Worse, I can see quite clearly where Picoult was going with this (and I was also very impressed with her writing on a whole), but could see that she started out as someone who was somewhat painted into a corner and couldn't really get out. That a review I read of the next trade said that we're in a really bad stretch, well...

Much of my judgement at this point might be clouded as to how much I enjoyed pre-Infinite Crisis Wonder Woman. This one, I dunno - so much confliction, too much confusion.

So I borrowed this from the library and no where on the cover does it say it’s a sequel book so I was so fucking confused the whole time. Also everything that happened seemed so out of character. I’ll stick to Jodi Picoult’s other novels
