I found this book really thought provoking and relatable in a way that surprised me. I didn’t expect to so much in common with a model regarding the way I think about myself and how I look. I think Emily Ratajkowski poses and explores some interesting feminist questions through telling her own personal experiences as a model and celebrity. These were explicitly  answered by her in any conclusive way but I’m not sure if that was intentional. This was also a super quick read.

Fantastic writing and absolutely captivating essays about the commodification of Emily's body, and the abuse and mistreatment she faced in the modeling industry. I loved how nuanced and clear her essays were, and each essay was such a pleasure to read. Just a great book.

very thoughtful and interesting commentary on complicated topics. while the memoir’s contents may look like a contradiction given the nature of the author’s career, it serves as a reminder that two things can be true at once

it was scarily relatable to thoughts most, if not all, women have likely had even though, for most of us, it is rare to live a life adjacent to a wildly famous model like Emrata
