This was a fun little read full of spooky goodness. Far from horror for horror's sake, almost every single story within this anthology was making commentary on a greater issue - something I thought all of the authors did impeccably. A testament to the talent of everyone involved, these 1,500-word short stories really packed a punch - all having engaging plots, interesting characters, serious conflicts, and captivating settings.

Overall I thought this was a really great read. Good for horror fans who just want something bite-sized to tide them over, but also diverse enough for newer horror readers to get a feeling for what they like. I was able to get to know a lot of new authors that I am excited to read more from.

As with all anthologies, I liked some stories more than others. As someone who doesn't read horror, I found these stories approachable and some really freaked me out. I could see like a die-hard horror fan being unsatisfied, but these are short bites of stories by design and I think that they accomplish that.
