What a perfect book to read and re-read with kids.

My youngest son loves dragons. We have read this, and many others like this, together. We have a lot of fun pretending it's all real!

I know I read it as soon as I got it, and the publication year says 2004, but I'm not very good at remembering exactly what year/how old I was when something happened, so that's just an estimate. It's been a decade, cut me some slack. ;)
I liked this book all right at the time, and I got it out and looked through it a bit before adding it to Goodreads, and I liked it all right now. It's got some funny bits, and it's set up just like a kids' book about dogs or other animals, so that makes it fun. Any kid who likes dragons will love this. I probably would have loved it more if I'd read it younger, since I think it's targeted at a younger age group--although I think I got some of the jokes more now, when I'm older and have more context.

My favourite childhood book.
I'll firmly stand my ground that dragons are real if we ever talk about this book.

This is one of my favourite Ology books. The idea of presenting dragons in a factual book aimed at kids was really smart, and the way it's written comes across as quite realistic for young minds. Such a fun read.
