Again I was very impressed with Robyn's ability to sift data and make judgements, even if she was blindsided by the lunatic in the last chapter. And I was appalled at the callousness of her mother, who is apparently a really good lawyer for people who aren't her kid, and who appeared startled and resentful that her daughter wouldn't be delighted at the chance to make a last minute move across the country away from her father and her friends for (during?) her last year of high school.

Meanwhile I have lost all faith in boyfriend Nick, who behaved horribly and blamed Robyn for the entire story. Robyn also was feeling insecure and acted foolishly, but Nick was so busy cutting himself all the slack that there was no room to give any to Robyn. But Nick appears to be in love with her Dad so I guess he wants to stick around...

So, good mystery, realistic situations, but I'm sad at how awful the people around Robyn are. Not the murder people, the people who are supposed to care for her.
