According to the locals, Harper's new house is haunted. And they're not wrong, she feels it the second she steps inside. That kind of cold air that makes your skin crawl.

I am so glad I picked this one up. Spirit Hunters was just the spooky Middle Grade I had been craving. I mean it did not hold back, we're talking demonic possession, murderous ghosts, weird lucid dreams of the past. It was fab.

This felt very reminiscent of Victoria Schwab's City of Ghosts series, but with much more diversity and characters that had more depth. Harper is Korean and her best friend Dayo is Jamaican. I often find with a lot of middle grade, the characters and their personalities can take a back seat, but that was definitely not the case with this one.

If you're in need of a little brain break from serious reads, and you love all things spooky and fun, this could be perfect for you! I finished it in less than 24 hours, it was so readable. There is a second installment called Spirit Hunters: The Island of Monsters, and I'm definitely going to be grabbing a copy of that aswell!
