Just as the story gets interesting, it's over. Another Audible original that should have been expanded into a longer novel as it's threadbare in this version.

This is a charming little story for most of its length; you expect the protagonist to maybe awaken into a cheeky bit of class war as he installs a fancy oven in a couple's apartment and watches them kind of wasting food that he's found hard to come by. The ending explodes like the punchline to a joke you didn't know was being told but then you realize that the joke's on you and you have to reinterpret the whole story. Nicely done
