This was a hard-hitting, compassionate and very emotional read. The author does a really good job of trying to break down the barriers surrounding talking about death, and the various stories were very poignant.

I absolutely loved this book for its surprisingly hopeful, inspiring and occasionally heartwarming insights into end of life care. Lots of lessons to be learned, as well as stories people to be inspired by- the book truly made me think differently about what fan often be a social taboo. I also hope my palliative care nurse is as good as the author clearly is.

A palliative care doctor tells stories of her work. Insightful and powerful.

A smorgasbord of end-of-life stories. It got repetitive quickly and was less informative than I would have liked.
