FOUR OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!! 8.29 CAWPILE

I am really really enjoying where this trilogy is going and I’m very excited to get my hands on the final book.

There were definitely a few moments where I was on the verge of tears and connecting with characters on an even deeper level than I was in Mistborn.

I really am loving the character of Elend and I am excited to see where his story goes along with the story of Vin.

I did breeze through this book but I did feel like sometimes this book was lacking the ability to keep me completely engaged!

Brandon Sanderson did not disappoint

Good GOD this book was way too long.

Is it just a Sanderson thing? Where the middle drags on and I wonder if I’ll ever finish the slog but the end is like ACTION POW HEY HOW ABOUT A PLOT TWIST?!

The plot twist was good though. So we give an extra 1/2 star 👍🏻

On to the next one.

Sanderson really said trust absolutely nothing I’ve told you so far and I respect that.

I felt as though the characters were too passive in the story, with most of the book feeling like the characters were waiting rather than acting.

Ya know, life is too short. I didn't enjoy the first book as much as everyone else and I think I'd be wasting my time with this one. It's just so long. Already there was stuff I was rolling my eyes at a little, like the fact that of course it's Eland's father... I don't know, it's just boring.
