is it intensely cringe and heterosexual? yes. is it still rlly hot n steamy?? yeah!
I really enjoyed reading this book! I loved watching Vanessa rebuild herself after her divorce to her emotionally abusive and cheating ex-husband of 20 years. She is healing and setting her boundaries, which is so refreshing to read. I also really loved the Savvy, Sexy, and Single club friendship of grown women who are embarking on their next chapters of their lives. And, my god, Michael was such a dreamy hero who was committed to the people who mattered most to him.
For me - what kept it from being a 5 star read was that the third-act breakup was very frustrating to read and then it wrapped up so quickly at the end, I didn’t feel like there was much resolve. However, this was a very fun, sexy book and I would definitely recommend it!

It was so good. The amount of fun to ;-) stuff was great, lots of buildups, and a couple of twists here and there to keep you really engaged. I don't know why, but I think it's like the same vibe as Gilmore Girls setting wise, but make it POC and a lot spicier.
This was a cute cute romance, the characters were older. Vanessa has just gotten out of a 20 year marriage. Michael Park is a small town sheriff who goes looking for Vanessa to ask her for help. Turns out her Ex is trying to marry his little sister and he needs her help to talk to his sister.
Vanessa doesn't want to get involved but she always wants to help someone not make the mistakes she makes with her ex who was the worse!
Michael and Vanessa have a instant connection and she's not looking for anything and for him his sister always is his number 1.
This was a cute romance but it was insta love for me and I'm not the biggest fan of instant love so that was a knock for me but I hope she writes more from this group especially for her best friends they are trouble in the best way.

Cute little read . Wish their was more character development, the characters grew a bit at the end but wanted to see more on how i guess the main characters evolved. Also the author was making it cringy when it came to convincing of the sex being good or not between both characters .

the only problem i have with this book is that i don’t consider myself to be the target audience to read and review it. i couldn’t connect with the main characters because i found nothing about them to be relatable.

I could not get into this story. I tried leaving it and coming back, but that did not help.
3.5 stars! Enjoyed this book! Thought Vanessa and Michael were so cute and enjoyed their romance.
