What I enjoyed most about this "how-to" guide to writing poetry wasn't exactly the advice on how to write poetry as much as how one can interpret other poet's work. There are numerous excerpts from famous poets throughout history, acting as examples to compare and contrast one's own amatuer poetry with those of "the greats". Each chapter is themed - for example, war, love, nature, loss - and tips abound throughout to render the creative (or not so creative) mind into settling into each theme in order to produce a poem or two. Overall, pretty decent!
