I liked this collection well enough. I felt that the connection with womanhood and nature can be a little reductive and is sometimes explored in this collection in a way that feels empty. I was a little annoyed by some of the association with Native American/Indigenous identity and personhood with nature, only because of the historic social and cultural campaign to tie Indigenous identity with the past and/or with a natural state of the world. I liked the poetry best when it got more introspective and personal, which I do think still makes up the majority of the collection. Some poems that I liked the most were: "The Chance to Love Everything", "Rage", "Wild Geese", "Dreams", "The Fire", "Members of the Tribe", "Orion", "One or Two Things", "The Shark", "The Moths", "At Loxahatchie",  and "Coming Home". My absolute faves are: "Whispers", "The Journey", "The House", "Poem", and "Sunrise".
