DISCUSSION QUESTIONS
1. Both Ava and Maddie experienced difficult relationships with their parents. Do you think this affected the intensity and role of their friendship in their lives? If so, how? Discuss.

Answer; yes i do because neither wanted to be alone or loose each other.

2. A Wedding in Lake Como provides only Maddie's perspective on the story. How do you think Ava's would differ? Chelsea's? Did you wish to have anyone else's point of view shown?

answer; I do wish we got all three POVs. I really think we would have seen what ava true intentions were throughout the whole book. I don't think Chelsea would have had as many POVs as Ava and Maddie because she was the 3rd wheel and fully ok with it or that's how it seemed.

3. Italy becomes a backdrop for both Ava's and Maddie's personal growth. Discuss how their second trip to Lake Como varies from their first. How have they changed with each other and within themselves?

Answer; On the first trip they encouraged Maddie to be an influencer and to take pictures and videos of everything while on the second trip, she did not do any of that. Ava also stopped living through someone else and started just living. She matures a lot and starts being so selfish. While Maddie learned more about herself and what she truly wanted to do.

4. Chelsea was one of the first two people in the girls' friendship circle, but many times she seemed to take a more distant perspective in the story. How would Aa and Maddie be different without Chelsea would things have gone on a different path, or do you think they would both still have made the same choices?

Answer; I think Ava and Maddie would’ve still made the same choices. Chelsea was the most level-headed but she wasn't around a lot. She kinda did her own thing.

5. Maddie wants to be a social media influencer. How does this choice of career affect the story? Do you know anyone who is an influencer? Did you learn more about the influencer world through the story?

Answer; it definitely affected our life because the more famous she got the more eyes on her The more things went wrong. The media twisted pictures of her and Levi which upset Rigg. When she was called out and her text got screenshotted it blew up and ruined her career. Which made her life harder. No, I do not know any influencers. No, I didn't learn anything.

6. Riggs and Maddie fall for each other quickly. Do you think they were meant for each other? Do you think it was their ages that gave them the biggest challenge? Do you think they'd still be together if Ava hadn't been in the picture?

Answer; yes I do think they were meant for each other. No, I do not think their age gave them a big challenge since they were in their early to mid-20s throughout the book they met when Maddie was 20 by the time they broke up she was 24/25. Yes, I do think they would have still been together because he was very supportive of Maddie's Career. Maddie even thought about not going to LA for her 1st movie because rigg was upset.

7. When Riggs and Ava sleep together, it is five years before Maddie is able to deal with the fallout. Did you agree with her decision to go to Ava's wedding? Why or why not?

Answer; yes I did. Maddie really needed that closure. It also helped her relationship with both rigg and ava.

8. Forgiveness and growth are themes in A Wedding in Lake Como. Discuss how each of the characters experiences both forgiveness and growth in their individual character arc.

Maddie; had to forgive most of them. She had to learn how to not run away from her problems and face them. Also, listen to Ava and Rigg to get her closure. Maddie had to relearn herself after not having it for so long.
Ava; had to learn to forgive herself for the mistake she made and forgive Rigg. She grows to be a better person and not live through others.
Rigg: also had to learn to forgive himself and move on with life. He had to also forgive Ava. He matured and understood why Maddie didn't want to talk to him instead of being mad about it.
Chelsea; had to learn to forgive Ava after her mistake and rebuild their friendship. Her growth was finally seeing she could do anything she put her mind to and stop playing it safe. She realized she could be more than a mom and a wife.

9. Do you think Riggs and Maddie end up together? Do you think Ava and Riggs's baby will always be a staple between them? Why or why not?

Answer; yes I do think maddie and rigg will get back together. No i don't think Ava and rig daughter will be a staple for them because maddie already loves that little girl after meeting her once and doesnt see her as a mistake. Maddie saw her as a miracle. Plus she doesnt know rigg is her dad. Ava's husband has been the one raising her as Rigg and Ava agree.

10. Female friendship is shown in many intricate layers as the young women transition to adulthood. Do you consider Ava a toxic friend? Have you ever experienced difficulties in a close friendship in your past? How did it end up?

Answer; yes Ava was toxic. Yes, I have had difficulties. We ended up not being friends anymore

11. Who do you feel the most connected to-Maddie, Ava, or Chelsea? Why?

Answer; Maddie because it was her POV but I do know how Chelsea feels not being so close to the other. she didn't seem to mind it.

12. Do you believe Ava was cheating on Patrick the entire time? Do you believe Maddie should have confronted her?

Answer; yes i do believe ava probley cheated on patrick. Yes i think maddie should of conforted Ava
13. Do you think Maddie should have stood up to Ava? When? How do you think the story would have changed if this had happened?

Answer; I do think Maddie should have stood up to Ava. She should of when they were in LA when Maddie finished a week early. She wanted to go home to rigg. There would be no photo of Levi and Maddie at the party. Rigg and Maddie wouldn't have been fighting. Rigg wouldn't have been so worried about not getting enough time with Maddie.

14. Do you blame Ava for not telling Riggs or Maddie about the baby? Do you agree with the decision for Riggs not to be involved in his child's life?

Answer; no I do not blame Ava. She did tell Rigg after the baby was born. Rigg decided he didn’t want to be in the baby's life. there was no point in telling Maddie because that would just rub it in her face for no good reason. She did not want to hurt Maddie anymore

15. Ava made choices along the way that hurt other people. Were you able to forgive her as Maddie and Chelsea did?
Answer; yes I was because she grew so must.

This is a captivating tale of friendship and healing. After years of separation, Ava, Madison, and Chelsea reunite for Ava’s wedding in Italy. Ava, on the verge of marrying the man she loves, is haunted by past mistakes. Madison, a successful fashion influencer, faces a career-threatening scandal. A wedding in Lake Como is the third installment in the Meet Me in Italy series. It's a book about finding one's true self, your path in life and true love. It's also about true and lasting friendships, their struggles, found family and second chances. I thought it was an enjoyable read. I wish the ending didn't end that way though.
