🎧 As I was starting on this book, for reasons I don't know, I assumed that Ms. Mitchell was going to be Madame Kink and Ms. Newtown, Jade. But it's the other way around. And I am here for it. Ms. Mitchell can do anything with her voice. My favourite performance of hers so far was of secondary role as a mother in a series. So, having her here as a young woman, discovering her wants, learning about herself, sounding so fresh, was a treat. Meanwhile, Ms. Newtown has a way of performing her male characters that can have me eating out of her palm. Fitting for Madame, I suppose. :D The switch between Madame and Eden, with her voice, was such a delight.

🎧 Mr. Francis. What a vibe. Clay is confident, a bit on the arrogant side. You definitely get that in his performance, especially at the beginning. But when he's first introduced to what Madame K. can do, the shift is perfect. The "Yes, Madame" that he says with a sass and a hint of 'what am I doing' and then the surprise when he realizes he enjoys it. It's all there. In the voice. Well played.

❗️ Disclaimer : My rants, ramblings, and incoherent thoughts below might be considered spoilers by some. Also, often, I do not read trigger warnings or blurbs.

🎧 Eden in the previous books is exactly what you would get if you would go in the club. You only see Madame K. I loved the difference when looking behind the makeup.

🎧 50% I enjoyed the back and forth in time, since it gave me a glimpse into the beginning of Clay and Eden. Jade on the other hand, puzzles me. I struggle with understanding how she doesn't feel a little bit of jealousy, at all. Yes, she is attracted to Eden, but still.

This one was just hard for me to get through and I'm not sure why. It was good though. Maybe I just didn't like the femdom part of it idk

Sara Cate does it once again! It is lovely to see that her writing gets better and better as the series goes on. She did a beautiful job depicting not only Eden, but Clay and Jade’s fears about relationships as well.

I didn't really know what to expect from Eden's book. She's been there throughout the rest of the series as Madame Kink but we didn't know anything about Eden herself.

Omg does she have a story to tell! I absolutely devoured this book! I love everything about her and I love the journey that she goes on throughout this book.

I love the way Sara ends this series, we've come full circle and I feel like we get closure on the series. I'm so sad that the series is over though 😭😭. But so happy that we get next gen 😍

I've updated my review following my audio reread, and also want to add that once again this is a fantastic audiobook!!!

Probably one of my favorites in the series. Glimpses of Eden in the other books made me love her and her stoey was so incredible. Loved it.

I was so excited to read Eden's story, and I loved how we watched her grow and feel the deeper sides to her.
I loved the relationship she had with Clay and the support Jade gave her.
The spice too??
But I got bored...but I loved the end of the book!

Eden has always been such an integral part of the series, so I expected her story to really deliver, but I have to be honest, it left me feeling a little disappointed. Despite her confident, dominant presence, Eden has always been a bit of an enigma, and I really liked seeing more of her true self revealed. Her difficult past and the fact that she's a single mom perfectly explained how she became the woman she did in Madame Kink.

I really liked Clay. As soon as he found out Eden had a son, he immediately stepped into that male protective role with Jack, which was such a powerful and important moment. His connection with Eden felt genuine, and I think there was so much more to explore with him. Their dynamic had so much potential, and I feel like it could have been explored far more than it was.

I didn’t connect with Jade at all. She annoyed me and felt unnecessary to the story (sorry- harsh, I know!). The battle for dominance between the two women was off-putting, with Jade always trying to take control, which distracted me from the story.

The trio dynamic never felt fully real to me — not built on lies, but missing the honesty that would have made it believable. By the end, it felt unbalanced, leaning more toward Eden and Jade than the three of them. Personally, I think the story would have worked best if it focused on just Eden and Clay, or at least Eden and Jade. The trio dynamic just didn’t feel necessary or effective in the way it should have and ultimately left me feeling that the book didn’t fully deliver on what Eden (or Clay) deserved.

Overall, I liked it but I didn’t love it. It wasn't my favourite but was still enjoyable in parts, but it's not one I see myself re-reading.
