This book is an indie published YA fantasy. It was cozy and sweet but had some pacing issues. I did love the gorgeous illustrations created by the author. Think I’d like to read the next book though time will tell.

This was beautiful, like a fairytale with Witches. I adore it.
Amarante is an amazing Main character that is a Sweetheart but also sometimes a bit vicious. Her Revenge is Swift and appropriate. Like the dirt in Juliannas tea.
Ash our loveable Male lead is a clever, sharp tounged sweet Prince. That just wants to do the best He can. In this case make a list of the debutantees that would Match His brother the crown prince by spying on the Ladies while pretending to be a waiter. Lets just say he has a bit of a mishivous Streak.
Together These two have a lovely chemistry and some sweet banter.
The Queen, Ashs Mother, was a loveable and witty character. Her teasing both her son and Amarante was fun.
The Story was very sweet and structured in a pretty simple way. There were some surprises and some small Plot Twists. But Overall The Plot was fairly predicable which honestly suited be Just fine. I was in The mood for Something simple and easy. No crazy plottwist No sudden tradgedies. Just a sweet and steady story.
The villains were good at being evil. Or rather the Duchess was good at being evil. Her daughter was way better than her in the has morals Department.
Narcissa, the main villains daughter. A bit of a complex character that seems almost completely evil at the start but she is layerd in Shades of Grey. By the end of the book I have actually come to like her quiet a Bit so I am looking Forward to her Story in the next book.
The Magic is beautiful and the world is so whimsical. I got lost in the pages.

cute, quick fun read! was a sweet YA novel (so nothing too crazy) but i liked the story itself and the characters were liveable. gave me pride and prejudice but in salem vibes if ykyk. read a bit awkwardly at times but was fun nonetheless. only major issue i had was amarante: like girl you can literally make stuff levitate wdym u couldn’t escape for days?? also, sTAND UPPP, i hated how she let narcissa and the duchess treat her 😭
I am in love with this story! The characters are so much fun, the storyline is a great twist to some common tropes, and the overall presentation of the book is just perfect. I am eager to jump into book two, The Herbwitch's Princess!
