I did enjoy the story. It is really lighthearted and spicy (LIKE REALLY SPICY), but maybe I just like the slow-burn more because it really felt like everything moved too fast.

Everyone is so into each other immediately without much of a build-up. The characters are fun, hot, and likeable but they all need a little bit more depth, especially Charlie. I think it reads like too much of a pay-per-chapter kind of story instead of a cohesive novel?

If you’re looking for characters with hot af chemistry, LOTS of spicy scenes, fast-paced relationship development, and just a nice little love story, then this is for you.

Personally, I just need a bit more depth, but then again, this can be a good palette cleanser after reading a big/complicated book. Thanks to the author for giving me this free copy though!

I read this book as an ARC. I enjoyed it the first 400-500 pages. Then it kind of lost me until the epilogue. I think some of the spicy scenes could have been replaced by other things. But other than that it was a nice change from the usual Dark Romance I read. I did love all of the characters and Charlie's adventure into Scotland. I thought it was a really cute, happy story.

Oh Charlie, how many wish to be you!
While a huge book, there was never a time I was bored!
Arty giving Charlie a chance of a lifetime is the most precious of all things. He sees her potential and gives her something to focus on after finding her ex sleeping with her best friend.
Heading to Scotland with a job and nothing else, Charlie expects to make the family tree and head back to her less than mediocre life.
Nothing goes as planned, however, not when she meets Cam, or when he has to leave for a job. Then she meets Jack and has the best night with him. Losing sight of him on the ferry seemed to crush that as well. Then there's Lach, who happens to be Jack's best friend.
The sexual tension is thick, but Cam still has her heart. Will Jack, Lach, and their mysterious university roommate, show Charlie everything she deserves, or will mediocrity back in the States be all Charlie gets?

I received this book as an ARC and was very excited to read it. I had seen a lot of ads for it while it was on Kindle Vella, but I don’t have the patience for pay per chapter stuff. I think as a result of it being on Kindle Vella, it is quite a bit longer than most contemporary romances I’ve read. The spice in this is off the charts, and the author lets you know right from the dedication. The group scenes are really well written, and there are a TON of them. Pretty much every chapter there is something spicy going on. If you are not in the mood for a lot of spice and a little plot, this is not the book for you. On the other hand, if a one-handed read is what you are looking for, you are in luck! The one miss for me is that there were definite primal play vibes from one of the MMCs but there was never a full primal scene, so it felt like a bit of a tease in that aspect. It was a fun read overall!

*Edit* I am upping my rating to a 5 star because I haven't stopped thinking about this book since finishing! That makes it a 5 instead of a 4 star for me personally.

The forward warns just how spicy the book was, and it did not disappoint. However, it also had a really romantic plot that made all the spice feel more connected and emotional.

I felt like some transitions between chapters, more so early on in the story, felt a bit clunky, but that could be because this was originally a series instead of a novel.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable read, and I need the author to give us a novella of the book they were reading on the plane!
