Listening to Neil Gaiman tell these stories in the audiobook just elevated the experience for me. Not only is he a gifted storyteller, but he has a voice and manner that brings them to life. The re-telling of the stories of the Norse gods like Odin, Thor, and Loki were based on what you may have read before, but he brings a personality to the gods that I think makes it special and certainly more memorable.

"There were things Thor did when something went wrong. The first thing he did was ask himself if what had happened was Loki's fault. Thor pondered. He did not believe that even Loki would have dared to steal his hammer. So he did the next thing he did when something went wrong, and he went to ask Loki for advice."
Dziwne, w sumie jak każda mitologia ale było tak czy siak ciekawe, podobało mi się
One of my favorite authors retelling the Norse Myths. I hadn't heard many of the tales and enjoyed the book quite a bit.
Norse Mythology was fantastic! I loved it, and my kids loved it.

absolutely loved rereading norse mythology, i read it in less than 3h lmao. neil gaiman is such a great narrator and "stylist", the language the characters use is not ancient, but clever and formal (a bit modernized) but it never feels cringy or annoying. norse mythology is so interesting and so different from other mythologies, it is such a shame so much of it is lost :( - or completely destroyed by usa. but yeah, i just love this book sm, i could reread it a thousand times more!
Hilarious, spell binding and definitely worth a read!
I enjoyed this book more than I thought! Not only was it informative of each God & Goddess but the writing was very gripping and I enjoyed the bits where Loki was being his mischievous self. I LOL! Neil Gaiman has a way with explaining the politics of Asgard where it wasn’t boring. Even the banter between Loki and Thor was fun to read. It ends with a big bang of how the Gods & Goddesses went to war and how human were created. Such a fun read!
