I love Norse Mythology. Even though Loki is not really a good person, I love him. He is fickle but cunning. I don’t like Thor at all which surprised me considering how much I do in Marvel, but they definitely didn’t get the full story of his character. I wish Finrir would make it through Ragnorok. He’s always been one of my favorites.

I really liked this. Makes me wanna finally get to those giant mytholgy books i have. I liked reading a closer version of the myths as i knew most of them and was able to draw connections to some of my favorite norse inspired stuff. Had a blast!
This is very well written. Many books on mythology tend to present them in a textbook-esque way, but this one creates a narrative. The Norse gods become characters with personality, and their dialogue is witty and fun to read.

The book is enjoyable to read, but do not expect a totally accurate account of norse mythology. The basic elements of the stories are mostly accurate, but these are not word for word translations of the sagas. The book itself is very easy to read, and so I would especially recommend this for those that like mythology but don’t love the dry and old fashioned language that the stories are usually retold in.

It’s fine. As a collection of Norse mythology it does a decent job of telling the basic stories but it didn’t feel like anything new was attention the storytelling. It’s fine but I’ll probably forget I’ve read it in a bout a yeaf
