Thank you Lauren Palphreyman and Simon Maverick for the free gift!

The bite is back—and so is the drama.

In this sizzling sequel to The Wolf King, the stakes are higher, the power plays are bolder, and the emotional tension is through the roof. The Night Prince continues Aurora’s journey as she’s swept deeper into the politics of the Wolf Kingdom—and caught between two alpha males with their own agendas.

While I enjoyed the continuation of the world and plot (seriously, the twists and darker turns were great), the love triangle left me torn. I like both Callum and Blake as characters, but the constant tug-of-war over Aurora wore thin. Callum’s fatalism in the face of her connection to Blake was frustrating—I wanted him to fight for her, not resign himself to losing her. And Blake… well, he’s magnetic and mysterious, but I’m still unsure if that makes him trustworthy or dangerous.

Honestly, there were moments I just wanted Aurora to walk away from both of them and rise to power on her own terms. She’s capable, fierce, and compelling, and I’m still rooting for her, even when I’m iffy on the romance dynamics.

The shifter lore continues to be one of the strongest elements of this series—unique, immersive, and grounded in a world full of layered tensions. And while the love triangle had its downsides, the plot definitely moves forward with big reveals and ominous hints of the darkness to come.

The audiobook performance was phenomenal. Zara Hampton-Brown, Shane East, and Sean Masters brought so much depth and charisma to their roles. The trio narration added a cinematic quality that made the experience even more engaging.

Still thoroughly enjoying this take on the werewolf romantasy trend, even if the romance hit some personal snags for me. I’m eager to see how the next book untangles this messy (but intriguing) web of loyalty, love, and legacy.

Dammit. Sometimes being right is annoying. I’ll tell you what, love triangles are NOT my thing, and this one is holding on for dear life. I’m hoping things will go more the way I want them to in the last book *crosses fingers*. Though I predicted both twists at the end, and was frequently annoyed on Aurora’s behalf for the MANY ways she was betrayed, I’m definitely eager to see how this story concludes.

I wanted to love this book (like I did book 1) but it fell flat for me. Too many dream sequences & too much of Aurora asking questions and not getting answers (until the very end). Also the formatting was a bit funky, there was an extra indent at the start of all paragraphs.
