I watched the movie first, and though I did enjoy the book, I found the movie more light and entertaining. The story between Darcy and Bridget is more drawn out than in the book. There's a lot of UK-isms in the book so be sure to google what you don't get (I didn't, but now wish I had, just for my own knowledge)

A fun read nevertheless!

Very funny. Bridget is a very flawed woman, not the way that perfect heroines are, ones that are very noble and self sacrificing with perhaps a bit of a vice but not too much so as not to be unlikeable. She is self-centered, disorganised at the best of times, obsessive and extremely insecure. But despite all this I love her. And I am a sucker for watching her fall in love.
