This book ended up being pretty good, but it took me until almost 30% to actually be convinced that I didn't want to DNF it. The secrecy and drama at the beginning felt unnecessary, and the ongoing hints at potential romance between Vera and Bent felt like they were just thrown in to have a romance subplot. Overall, it was a fine book but not my favorite and I don't think I'll read any future books in the series.
I liked the story line as it was different from the typical murder books. Several twists kept me engaged. Would read books by this author again.
