This Webb book was a disappointment for me. I've always loved her various series (dark and gritty), but even though this is a fairly recent one, it felt more like a beginning effort from an author just getting her feet wet.

So slow and just a mess of a thriller. Full RTC.

Full review: Honestly nothing to root for in this one. It's slow and the character development is minimal. I just didn't really care who did what to who 20 years ago but the plot points to explain things just did my head in. I am hard passing on reading the second book in this series.

3.75 The primary character and her story hooked me in pretty quickly. I especially liked the relationship between the sisters and the small town setting. The end surprised me and seemed a little far-fetched.
