I want to say this is my favourite of Susan Wiggs books but so many of hers are just absolutely amazing. Also I was impressed by how many accuracies there were both with the medical aspects and the amish

Beautiful story and such a sweet twist at the end. I would love to read a follow up about these characters!

3.5 stars. This was not my favorite book by Susan Wiggs. However, I’m not a huge fan of Amish stories in general and not really sure what the appeal is and there must be a lot because there are a lot of Amish stories. This one just seemed flat and repetitive which usually means there isn’t a great story there. That being said, I think there were enough elements that this could have been great. The story with Hannah could have been explored much more. Leroy’s character was great-maybe we could have had more of him. Caleb/Rebecca/Dr. Powell (telling that I can’t remember her first name??) could have been a lot better. Overall, this one just wasn’t for me.

I have avoided romances, particularly involving the Amish. So glad I accidentally read this one. No graphic sex scenes, which I throughly dislike. Good character development, really tugged my heart strings. Gonna have to reconsider an entire genre.

This was a lovely story about a culture I don't know much about. It was pretty predictable, but sometimes that's exactly what you want to read. Sweet love story, I was rooting for the characters and I just wanted to keep reading.
