Okay mystery, but not remotely as satisfying as, say, The Lincoln Lawyer or The Black Echo. Our new hero is serviceable, if a bit colorless, but the rest of the characters are chess pieces or love interests and forgettable. As is the resolution, the culprit and the plot in general. On the bright side, the setting is nice, and one character has a purple streak in her hair.
I get that Harry Bosch was getting too old for this shit. Me too.
