Kealey takes one argument and drags it out over 400+ pages. He believes that science should not be government funded, and instead, research and development should be left to industries. To prove this, he draws varied examples from history- Ancient Greece, WW2 era Germany and the Wright Brothers all make appearances. He does make some good points, but unfortunately, the end result is a dull affair.

The title of this book is "Sex, Science and Profits", but sex is barely mentioned. Any references to it felt strangely out of context, almost as if the sex portion was an afterthought, added solely to make the book sound more interesting than it is.
