The premise of the book is good, but there is very little development. It's very repetitive and the fmlc becomes a weak kitten. She started out strong, and had a great background explaining how she got to where she is.

I'm so obsessed with this series! This one has a more severe/gloomy tone than the first book. Shiloh's trauma is starting to come to the surface, and we are really learning just how hard everything hit her. She's also getting closer to the guys, but she starts pulling away from them when things start coming up. During all this, Mr. X is beginning to close in, and things are getting dicier for Shiloh. Plus, it doesn't help that her bully is related to some influential people who have started using their power in terrible ways, and it is just getting sadder for her. We begin to realize just how on her own she truly is. Plus, at this point, I still get the whole school thing. Like I mentioned in my last review, I wish they were in college during all of this instead of high school, and this is where that starts to come out for me because she's not really going to school anymore. She's getting away with it because there's no one there to call her out for it. She also lives and acts like she should be in college. So, for the bullying side, I get the whole high school setting, but for the rest of the story, I just wish they were in college.

This is how why choose should be written! It’s a breath of fresh air.

The FMC, Shiloh, has fun quirky moments with each guy. Not every encounter is sexual. You get the opportunity to really believe in their future because there’s a foundation being built.

If you love a badass FMC and why choose, you’ll love this series. However if loss of family members, and PTSD of past trauma is a trigger for you, then this isn’t the book for you.
