Another awesome read that made me feel everything Shiloh was feeling. Those nightmares… i couldn’t imagine living through that every night on repeat. She is amazingly strong and Colt, Creed and Keelan are amazing! Knox is still being a Jackass. And LOGAN!!! Don’t even get me started. What he has done to Shiloh was inexcusable. Can’t believe that he would act the way he did knowing what Shiloh went through. Can’t wait to read the third book.

Read on Kindle.

There was strong character development in this one, but for some reason I wasn’t as entranced by the story line. It was almost getting to be too much consecutive “bad luck” for our FMC.

Okay, I didn’t mind Shiloh in the first book, but her whiny ass really started to grate on my nerves with this one.

The boys are still swoony as all hell, and they 100% are worth the admission to read this book. Shi, though, was a pain in the ass. Whiny, immature, crying all the damn time. She acted like such a baby, and it pulled me out of the story enough for the ick factor to kick in when I looked at 25yo Knox wanting to get busy with an 18yo HS student. If she hadn’t acted like, yes, an 18yo HS student, I would’ve been able to overlook it entirely.

More sexy times in this one, though still not nearly enough. It also felt like this book—the ending especially—was *incredibly* rushed. The drama was so random and short lived that it felt like the author just needed to slap something down because the book needed to be published. And the cliffhanger isn’t so much a cliffhanger as just…stopping in the middle of a scene. Sloppy and, quite frankly, sneaky. I think authors should get paid for their work and have no problem shelling out for one cliffhanger after the next (why would I? It’s in KU…), but this felt slimy and unnecessary.

The drama and the way this is written reminded me very much of Fanfic—it was certainly addictive enough to be like it.

Now I’m just sitting here, waiting for book 3 that I was totally unaware would be coming, and who TF knows how long that will be. Be warned: THIS IS NOT A DUET. Book 1 and 2 both end on cliffies.

I liked this one, but it like nothing really happened to advance the overall arc with Mr. X. It was a lot of character building which i enjoyed but it felt like nothing big really happened plot wise, which was kind of a let down. It felt more like a filler book in terms of plot.
