I did not expect that ending. The first 1/2 or maybe 3/4 of the book was pretty slow but when it picked up so much was revealed.

OH MY GODDD the PLOTT. bro where do I STARTTT.
alright, at first I was pretty confused and didn't understand what was happening. I love the relationship between the 4 Liars; Gat, Mirren, Johnny, and Cadence. BUT, I was confused..why didn't they keep in contact with Cadence, why didn't they think to check up on her, visit her??? BUT then when you find out THE REAL REASON why. I WAS SOBBING MY EYES OUT, like that plot twist got me.

Overall, it was such a tragic story but so well written, the whole time I felt like I was experiencing all the emotions alongside Cadence, all the guilt and sorrow she felt, I FELT IT TOO. Everything was so genuine and I believe that a lot of people could also find the experiences of this book relatable within their own families.

This book had me hooked and finishing it in one sitting. I could not put it down and just devoured it. I have seen the TV series first, so I think that gave me more of an emotional response, and with that, I found the written ending a little bit underwhelming in comparison.
