Better than book 1. I loved Magiano and Sergio, and their respective relationships with Adelina and Violetta. Adelina became a much more interesting character as well.

A very tangling book, made only more intriguing by the morally grey main character. Usually books with villains are written to show their innate goodness with the goal of endearing them to the reader. This book is wonderfully written with an alternate perspective of the mc falling prey to her own pain and darkness.

This book was fast and action-packed. New characters were introduced, and Adelina's quest for revenge went on.

There wasn't anything really bad about this book, but it's difficult to give it 5 stars when you don't really like the main character. Adelina took a really huge turn for the worse in this book, and a darkness that was just difficult to relate to. I know that's how the author wanted it to be though, so I can't fault her for that.

Overall, this was a good continuation for the first book. And I am excited to see what the future holds for Adelina in the finale. Hopefully things will turn brighter in the end.

This book was just okay. Adelina is an incredibly interesting point of view to read from, and a non traditional one, but the story as a whole was very slow and frustrating at times. It was difficult to get into the story and to stick with it. Some of the decisions she makes drove me absolutely crazy, which I saw coming considering the she is an antihero main character, but I liked the first book better when they were working together. I definitely see why I struggled so much with this book the first time I read it, but this time I am going to force myself to finish the series.
