Wanted to DNF but skipped over 160 pages instead (they were apparently unnecessary, because I was still able to figure out what had happened).

Frankly, I knew after about 5 pages that this book would be a huge waste of my time. The characters were extremely annoying and flat. The plot was predictable and cheap. I'm glad I decided to skip a chunk so I wasted less of my lifetime on this.

This book really felt like a paint by numbers thriller to me. All of the characters are stock teen movie archetypes and the plot follows those archetypes exactly the whole way through. Also the editing really needed another pass: people's hearts "hammered" so often that I was thinking about starting a drinking game to fit the theme.
