About the Book: A collection of short stories on robots, robotics (term coined by Isaac Asimov himself), the fundamental laws all robots are ingrained with, as foundation to their very being, and our life with them. Each story is better than the previous one, of two different species trying to live together, and survive each other.

My Opinion: The stories don’t seek to moralize, nor do they portray robots as the big and the bad, here to replace us all. It’s interesting, it’s curious, it’s strange, and at times – amusingly old.

As I read Asimov's Robot stories for the first time since I was a teenager, I've come to some unfortunate realisations. I still enjoy the stories, and I still respect Asimov, but so many of these stories seem to be clever just for the sake of being clever. Like they're thought-experiments. There's a minimum of charm.

I guess we'll always have Solaria.

A bunch of robotics stories which can help you understand the deep ness of the thought of Isaac Asimov about Robots.
A must for who love to discover the world of one of the greatest mind of the 20th century.

If you like sci-fi, you should at least read SOME Asimov. And if you prefer short stories to novels, this is a decent collection.

I fell in love with Asimov when I was a kid; I read a few of his books, including Nine Tomorrows, another collection of Asimov shorts. I never knew about this one, but when I stumbled across it in a used book store I had to give it a shot.

Unfortunately, if you, too, have read Nine Tomorrows, you'll recognize some of the stories in this book, too. I'd recommend getting it used as well, in that case ... no point in paying full price for a book where all the stories aren't new to you.

But the stories are great, classic, imaginative Asimov, and I daresay they've inspired me a bit. When I find some time (yeah right) I think I have a nice little robot ditty of my own.

I liked the new stories, however I feel a lot of them were recycled from other book collections of Asimov
