While I liked the idea, it was a bit too Insta everything for me!
And with it being so short it seemed rushed, which I don't mind sometimes but I expected more of this.

Just a lot of nopes. The minute he mentioned “breeding” her, my brain shut off. I’m actually surprised I kept reading, because there is nothing sexy about that. Also, is the following quote meant to be romantic?
“I won’t let you change your mind, and I won’t let you have more time. So, please just say yes and let’s cut to the chase.”
Two stars for the drama with Mark. The rest of it? Nope.

I know this meant to be a short story, so expecting the same character and relationship building out of this compared to a 300 page novel is unfair, but I still feel like this book jumped the gun with how fast the lead couple's relationship progressed.
Now, the guy? He seemed pretty cool...at first. He was sweet, attentive and kind at a first glance. Then he randomly shifts from 'I really like her and want to make her happy' to literally "I'm going to get you pregnant " when they 'get busy' after knowing eachother for like, a week.
And the girl? She was totally into that! Her justifying him wanting to " breed" her was that he would be a nice guy to co-parent with if things didn't work out.
Even if I was cool with that part of their relationship, he tells her "I love you" later and she panics, like she isn't sure he means it or wants a commitment . You were cool with having his kid two days ago! She went from finding out she liked him wanting to "breed" her hot and then randomly questioning if she should be cool with that because she believe in female empowerment. Get you're sh*t together.
Now, if that wasn't enough, this story has to add some drama and conflict by throwing in a murderous rapist. Yah. I know.
This book is too short to hold all the elements A. Riley wanted to put in this story. Waaay too many.
Ultimately, this book was a disappointment on both romantic and general story fronts.
I'm sure this author has some better work, so give her a chance, but NOT with this book.

This is one of my favourite of Alexa and Riley’s books so far. It is very cute and beautiful.
“Unless you’d like me to leave.”
“Never,” she whispers, and I reach down, pulling her up so that we’re eye to eye.
“Don’t say things you don’t mean.”
“Cross my heart,”
Genevieve is so beautiful and sweet. I loved her so much. Barrett was a caveman who knew how to lay it low and please Genevieve. She was searching for someone to restore her house and Barrett was the man for the job. He was simply built for her.
It was An okayish read. Would have loved it more if it was different at some plots. Not Alexa Riley level.
Genevieve has made a huge purchase!! Her dream home!! But it isn't well that dreamy looking it needs alot of TLC.. she gets a number of a contractor from her twin sister Gabi (sister bonding is awesome) and husband. She meets Barrett when he comes by to check out the place and is stunned at the beauty.. and he isn't talking about the house ;) hell work on the house and maybe get the girl.. since someone else is trying to take her away from him..

I really enjoyed the length of this AR story, it was a little longer than some. The two main character were extremely cute together, and it didn’t hurt that Barrett looked like Thor lol.

Still too insta but with slightly more plot than just the usual, meet, fall in love, bang, and knock up the heroine trope.
