This book is a masterpiece. Every thing is a juxtaposition. Genteel Pirating. Sincere scoundrels. Flippant disregard of morals. I’m not surprised that people love or hate this. It’s unique. This book is for those who like playful cheekiness and charm masking clever insults and social commentary. Also for those who like magic and a HEA.

I re-listened to the last 25% of this book 3 times bc I kept falling asleep... Idk why, but this book just could not keep my attention. I can't really even tell you what it's about still. I don't necessarily think it was bad, but I think it wasn't the right book for me for the moment.

It was just such a fun time. ! really enjoyed the writing and the romance was sweet even though I wish that Cecelia was older...
