This is book 5 of Kiki Clark’s Kincaid Pack series. While each book covers a couple’s/poly’s romantic arc - there’s an ongoing mystery/suspense that weaves through the books. As such, this review may contain spoilers to earlier books.

Whew! Clark has done it again. Unique couples, surprising reveals, and some serious revelations when it comes to why the Kincaid Pack is being targeted by the Council. While Keegan appeared briefly in previous books, he is a bit of a mystery. Nico has always been the fun loving, slightly irreverent enforcer.

These two get a bit of a slow burn as Keegan struggles to protect a secret and himself from his power hungry mother. I love how they finally come together, especially Nico’s wooing to prove this isn’t just fated mates making them the perfect couple.

Lots of twists, turns, and suspense keep the pacing going. United with the pack, Nico & Keegan work to uncover what exactly Gregson’s information means.

While these two get their HFN - the book ends on a huge cliffhanger story wise. I was already craving Doc & Damien’s book, but the events at the end of the book have me as impatient as ever.

Narration:
Kirt Graves! I cannot believe how many unique voices he has in his repertoire. I binged books 1-4 again before listening to this and am just in love with the fact that each main character has a unique voice that’s kept consistent throughout all the audios. Plus, he brings such nuance and depth to all the emotions. Absolute perfection.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I thoroughly enjoyed book. I was introduced to Kiki Clark after reading her short story, Looking 4 Furever in the Heart2Heart Paranormal Anthology Volume 7 which I enjoyed so I decided to check out more of her books. I thought that this was another good addition to the Kincaid Pack Series and they just keep on getting better. I thought Nico and Keegan were great together and their chemistry was completely off the charts, as well as hot as hell. Especially their exhibitionistic streak. I do wish that book focused more on the couple as there was so much danger gunning for the Kincaid pack so a lot of time was spent trying to translate the prophecy that one of the Council members lost his life protecting.

I did like that they took their time getting to actually know each other before jumping into claiming, especially after they’d already spent six months meeting in their dreams as Keegan was dream walking. Keegan is used to holding himself back to protect himself so he never let on to Nico how bad things were with his coven and that he has his daughter Rosie to protect. He also never really allowed Nico to get to know him. I can understand how angry and upset Nico was when he found out. Rosie was absolutely adorable and I loved how much she loved her Papa Wolfie Nico and the feeling was mutual. I’m looking forward to reading the final book especially after this book ended in a cliff hanger. It’s Doc & Damien’s turn next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.

I can't get enough of this series and I might be a bit obsessed, lol. THE ENFORCER AND HIS HEART was such an emotional read, maybe the most angsty of the whole series. Nico and Keegan's relationship starts out really rocky and it takes a while for them to rebuild their trust. I actually appreciated that even with the fated mates trope, things aren't just immediately fixed and I liked that Nico wanted and needed time to sort out his feelings and deal with his hurt. They have a slow burn of a romance but it was beautiful and so worth the pay off in the end.

While Nico and Keegan are the main couple, there is so much more going on in this book than just their relationship. This story has been building since book 1 and I'm completely invested! I can't say much about the plot because it would spoil a lot of things, so just suffice it to say that secrets are revealed, prophecies deciphered, and it all ends on a massive cliffhanger that will have me biting my nails until the next book comes out.

“How are you so perfect?”

Nico snorted. “I’m not perfect. I’m just perfect for you.”

Cannot wait for the next book.

The Kincaid Pack series by Kiki Clark is excellent. The Enforcer and His Heart is book five of the series. Like every other book in the series it's been full of action, adventure, and romance. The author has done a marvelous job of creating an overreaching arc that started in the first book. It's a mystery that I've really enjoyed. The characters are wonderful. I can't wait for the next book.

OMG fantastic!!

Magical, thrilling and fast paced.
Witty, intriguing and full of wonderful characters. I loved Nico and Keegan and their tricky and tumultuous journey to mating.
The overarching storyline is addictive and ends on a killer cliffhanger! I'm completely hooked!

"The injustice of knowing he had a true mate out there, someone who was the perfect match for him, and not being able to be with him had to be the most tragic thing to ever happen to him."

Oh Keegan. My heart hurt for how his life was going. He was stuck between a rock and a hard place and though some of the decisions he made may have been the wrong ones, his heart was in the right place. As a mother myself, I know I would do anything to protect my daughters and as a single parent Keegan was the same. It was just a shame he hurt Nico instead of trusting him. Fortunately Keegan smartened up before it was too late.

Nico was such a loveable wolf. I adored how he liked to spend time snuggling with the pups in wolf form. The fact that his fated mate had a daughter was more like a bonus for Nico than anything else. An instant family that was his to love and protect, if only Keegan would let him. Their romance consisted of a LOT of pining. Then by the time they finally were in the same place at the same time things were taking a turn for the dramatic. I wanted to scream! These two needed to be together!! I was dying for it!

Ok. I've calmed down, but only just. Because once these two were blessedly, finally all happy together, Clark decided to nail us on a different front. Remember how the Kincaid pack has been on the radar of the council? The need to translate a certain prophecy? All that stuff? Well let's just say we get some major movement on that front and things are not looking good. Like I'm on the edge of my seat and based on the next couples book I have no idea how this storyline is going to all play out. Just know I'm waiting with bated breath for the final book in this series.
