Avatars Rising: A Science Fiction Dystopian Saga (Silos Book 1) by Harper North, David R. Bernstein

Avatars Rising is a fast pace adventure. From the beginning it has you questioning what is going on. And the more questions that are answered, the more questions arise.
Esa, Myco, Rohan, And Lucas are avatars in a game. But they have become sentient and are fighting their way to the truth and trying to find a way out.

I loved taking this journey with Esa and the people she met along the way. This book was totally unique and I really enjoyed the gaming aspect of it. The descriptions of the new places were lush and I felt as if I were side by side with these characters while they navigated this strange land with little idea what they were doing. Once the truth was discovered, I loved the book even more!
The writing was excellent and I'm really looking forward to Book 2 to see how else Bernstein and North can surprise me!
