“Young people effectively created a movement”

This book was extremely educational regarding so many topics. I definitely had a few aha moments where things clicked into place. Definitely could not recommend something as fast as I would this book full of speeches, interviews, and lectures from a prior FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.

“It is essential to resist the depiction of history as the work of heroic individuals in order for people today to recognize their potential agency as a part of an ever-expanding community of struggle.”

I really appreciated the important messages of the interconnectedness of various movements for freedom across the globe, but I found it very repetitive and surface level unfortunately. A lot of the speeches were the same, just reorganized.

I learned a lot from this book and I can’t stop thinking about it. I have so much more to learn and I’m curious to keep expanding my education on everything she mentioned. She connects so many disparate thoughts into one powerful theme and movement that now make sense all together but didn’t before.
