What can I say about this book? Read it! You'll love it! If you love anything by this author, you'll love this too. Her writing is just spot on. So many emotions! Not enough words to describe the roller coaster of emotions from this one! Read it! It's so good! Love it so much!

I received an advance reader copy for an honest review.

So this book was nothing like I expected. This rant will probably be as confusing as the book was

Solid 4 star read

This was good, really good. The right amounts of brat and angst and control that built up to a shattering crescendo.

The FMCs name made me cringe every time I read it and yeah, I get it’s from her roots, but it doesn’t make it less of a slur. Lucian gives off big Christian Grey vibes but not in a bad way if you can believe it. He has a depth I appreciated.

Birdie…sigh. Didn’t care for her, but I never like over indulged, demanding, spoiled brats. And yeah, I’m sure there’s a whole sordid story, but I just don’t care.

It was nice to see the FMC grow up. I love a good growth story and the FMC and Lucian grew in spades, together and apart.

Ace intrigued me, but I don’t know if it’s enough to read a story about Birdie. Overall, it’s got the goods. Intriguing characters, brats, drama, angst, upset, and a pleasant conclusion.

At first I was so confused about what was going on and I am glad that I stuck through it. I loved the relationship development and this had me on the verge of tears and smiling so much. There were a few moments where all I wanted to do was to scream at the characters to talk to each other and stop hiding things from each other, but it didn't kill the story for me so I guess it wasn't a big deal.

WOW

What a great story. Loved it from start to finish! I did feel it jumped a few times yet it was still beautifully written!

This book caused me a lot of anxiety. We start out with this strong h who has conned all these men and then this jerk comes along planning to fix her by bribing her, humiliating her, taking away all of her freedom and she’s just like “okay, you’re mean but you can spoon me every night.” Ew. No.

The story just gets worse from there. I almost quite reading the book at 33% but then I had a nightmare about the book so I had to finish reading it so I could forget it forever. I wish I hadn’t bothered, the book just got more ridiculous and unbelievable from that point on.
