There is a reason that A. Zavarelli is one of my favorite authors, and this book is a great example of why. Everything she writes makes me awe-struck at her amazing talent to draw out such raw emotion from me. I get ALL the ‘feels’ from her books and always end up with a book hang over.

Confess had the same dark and gritty undertones that all of A. Zavarelli’s books have, but it was surprising different than anything I’ve read. It was an amazing story of love and betrayal. The plot had so many twist and turns, it constantly kept you guessing and trying to figure out where the story would take you next. I really loved Lucien and Gypsy’s story and I can’t wait to see if Zaverelli gives Ace and Birdie their own book!

Review time... and I still feel at loss for words. All I can do is feel, so maybe that’s where I’ll start.
CONFESS took me a heart stopping journey, wholly and completely my heart splintered into thousands of shards of grief and the emotional pain was real, it felt so real.
Gypsy is a sassy heroine, one you want to judge until you open her life book and read her story, same for Lucian. Oh my bleeding heart, two opposites couldn’t be more fated for each other- and the secret confessions that sealed their destiny.
I loved everything about this book, Lucian came off as the everything you wanted to hate until he was all you could love.
The chemistry between Lucian and Gypsy is undeniable and so tangible.
This book made me giggle, gasp, gape, grapple with my sanity.
From one book lover to another- this book is packed full of everything that you want an unforgettable book!
Ashleigh Zavarelli first won me over with her Boston Underworld series but this- WOWSER!!! I’ve fallen in love with her all over again. Her ability to write these damaged heroes and heroines is unlike any other! I’m off to read Convict next, because now I need to know about Birdie’s story.

ALL the FEELS & ALL the STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a thousand times over!

Review at The Chaise and Lounge Blog

I couldn't put this book down. I didn't know where the author was going with this couple but I enjoyed the journey.
Gypsy Blue was a con-artist who was trying her best to carve out a life with her sister Birdie, while they were on the run.
Her heists and scams put her in the cross-hairs of famed defense attorney Lucian West and now it was time for the blackmailer to become the blackmailed.
Gypsy didn't like having a taste of her own medicine and it was a constant battle of wills. Unfortunately for her, she was dealing with a man of iron will and he held all the cards, including evidence that could land her prison.
Gypsy now had to learn how to deal with her life as someone else's puppet. Meanwhile, Lucian got to know Gypsy and saw there was more than meets the eye.

This book was about the healing and redemption of two broken souls that had to learn to trust people again. They had different traumatic events to overcome, but as they became vulnerable to each other, tender moments led to their bonding.

If you like a suspenseful yet intense dark romance, give this one a try

Nothing wrong with it. The hero seemed the daddy dom kind of guy and that's something I don't like.

Sin City Salvation Book One.

Gypsy has been protecting her sister, Birdie, in the only way she knows how, until the proof of her mistakes are laid bare. Lucian shows her photos of both Gypsy and Birdie conning men out of their money. Now, Lucian has blackmailed Gypsy to become his wife by threatening to out Birdie to the police. Day by day, Gypsy begins to see Lucian the way the world never will, as a man who might be brutal, but only to protect those no one else will. However, Lucian is dealing with a past just as dark as Gypsy's. Will his hangups allow them to be happy, or will Gypsy escape his trap?

If you're looking for a story with characters possessing dark pasts, but finding each other anyway, this is the book for you!
