Sweeter than honey

This book is so sweet and so damn cute, I was actually grinning like an idiot reading it at times. I’ve never read anything this wholesome in the RH genre, and although I was missing the steam (I’m not a slow burn gal lol) this will easily take a place in my top five RH series, just based on this first installment. It gave me major warm fuzzies and I adore every single pack member, as well as Cricket’s family.

I enjoyed book one! It was funny and easy to read. However, the plot is VERY slow.

Birthday-related spoiler alert:
Her birthday happens halfway through book 3.
That is literally how slow the plot is.

This started out so promisingly. It was a sweet wholesome YA. But then I read a review where it's mentioned that a girl who gets introduced early on turns out to be a mean girl. Said girl is heavyset. Can we just not do that, authors? Particularly in YA?

Willow does it again!

Absolutely love this book. 3 alpha wolves vying for a spot by FMC side. I love this take on reverse harem. It shows not every books needs to be dark and twisty.

I was hesitant to read this series because everyone talked about how sweet it is. It appeared to be YA, and I prefer some steam in my reverse harems. I had been in a “Veil Diaries” mood lately, so I thought I’d give it a try.

Holy. Holy. Holy. Crap. This series is amazing. I’m so hooked that I’ll be buying the paperbacks. It’s wholesome without being a turn off (I’m not a wholesome book person). It’s sexy, and fun, and so incredibly sweet, but not in a cringy way. The characters are SO well written. The supernatural aspects aren’t overbearing at all. I love fantasy and PNR, but the balance between life/magic is so well done that I could see myself reading this even if I was in a contemporary phase.

The plot is slow building, the first two books have mainly been about getting to know everyone with a very slow, but suspenseful build. This may be the best reverse harem I’ve ever read. It seriously boggles my mind. I typically hate books where everyone is from healthy families with no traumas because it makes them seem one dimensional, almost. But not this series. It’s just so…I’m obsessed, ok? I’m officially obsessed.

It’s definitely NA for those who were concerned. I haven’t been able to out the books down. I got about 3 hours of sleep last night and the only reason I slept at all was because I was so tired I couldn’t focus on the words. I NEED book three, especially after that blurb.

I flew through this book because it was so good. I went straight onto book 2 and I have had to come back to write this review. This has a really good storyline and the author takes the time to develop each character uniquely. I feel this is a medium-burn as the relationships develop fairly quickly but the intimacy is slow - due to circumstances. I love multiple POV books and this did not disappoint. Even side characters get their chapters!! I can’t wait for the complete series.
