Probably my least favorite of the Secret Wars offshoots I read. It was okay, and had an interesting climax, but the first few issues were a bit on the dull side.

I wish James Robinson had retired after [b:The Starman Omnibus, Vol. 1|2140338|The Starman Omnibus, Vol. 1|James Robinson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1307746444l/2140338._SX50_.jpg|2145826] because I haven't enjoyed a single panel that he's written since.
Everything about this book is a clunky mess apart from the premise. The dialog is less armory, more wooden, and there is an inexcusably out of touch use of dialect for Turk, the only Black character in the whole book.
The art is about average Marvel art for the time.
If you can get past the panel-to-panel writing, the overall plot is interesting. I just wish it had been given to a better writer.

I really liked it. Felt like a new and different world. The Tony stark as lawful neutral alignment is a great juxtaposition against his devil may care attitude. Like the idea of Thor as a job (protector) and not a person. How spider-mans virus was a program, not a real spider. Great reimagining of superheroes.
