The only theme sufficiently explored in this book is face blindness itself and peripheral relationships (kinship, friendship) are extremely shallow and just serve to push the plot and nothing else. Add to that an annoying step sister who has unfounded hatred for FMC and the book mocking that there are way too many coincidences for a romcom in order to "redeem" itself in a jokingly manner.

It's just a microscopically written and I've seen better romcoms.

I did not enjoy the main character and that was a HUGE struggle for this book. She jumps to conclusions (usually negative), is very judgmental of others, and feeds her dog anything but dog food (side note: I found it incredibly unrealistic for her to be feeding her hospitalized dog take-out and the vet not say a thing while standing next to her).

The book tries to get a deep message across about trying to stay positive and take life as it comes, which I find kind of misses the mark. That being said, the book picks up speed and is way more entertaining in the second half! The twist is easy to see early on, but it is so fun to watch it unravel.

Other negatives: Her step sister is awful and nobody else seems to care, her step mom isn’t nearly as bad as the main character thinks she is, the best friend is not considerate and is actually a really bad friend throughout, and the love interests are too perfect.

This book was SO SO good! I was so intrigued after reading the synopsis of this book and let me just tell you, it 100 percent lived up to that! I had never read a romance like this before, and I really enjoyed it! I had also never heard of the condition the fmc had! It was so cool to learn about it, and I think the author did such a good job of describing what it was and what it felt like!

I LOVED Sadie’s character! She was super relatable! I loved how delusional she was — something I can definitely relate to
