The first half of this book was wonderful: the banter, the tension, the set-up of this debacle that the characters would have to work through... I was there for all of it but this slow burn was slooooowww and after the first spark, things seemed to cool off way too quickly. The passion the characters felt for each other went away and the story turned flat. A lot of the big moments from the first half were forgotten about or thrown around haphazardly, making them lose their significance.
